* В соответствии с переводом С.Я. Маршака вместо крысы введён персонаж синички, вместо коровы – молочница.
Каждый новый персонаж появляется на сцене под определённую музыку с характерными для него хореографическими движениями. Синица и кот вместе исполняют танго. После сольного номера каждый персонаж, заняв своё место на заднем плане сцены, исполняет танцевальные движения, соответствующие движениям персонажа, выступающего в данный момент.
Место действия – ковбойский салун (декорации соответствующие).
Звучит музыка кантри. На сцену выходит ведущий. На заднем плане появляется девочка, она держит в руках пяльцы. Музыка стихает. Девочка напевает английскую песню ‘Climb Over the Mountains…’.
Ведущий: Once upon a time in America… A small village, lost in the mountains. Time goes by very slowly… A cowboy saloon: ‘The White Horse’. T-s-s-s… Let’s drop in for a moment! (Пауза.) Come on, everybody!
Под музыку ведущий и девочка отходят на задний план. Звучит мелодия ‘Only You…’. Появляется Meggy.
Meggy: Oh, what a bore! Day after day… (Протирает полотенцем пивную кружку. Звучит мелодия ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’. Выходит Jack.)
Jack: Hello, Meggy!
Meggy: Hi, Jack!
Jack: What a lovely day, isn’t it? But… all days are lovely, when I see you!
Meggy: Not for me! I wish I would meet someone who will surprise me! He’ll break my heart!
Jack: (задумчиво) Break her heart… It’s worth trying… Oh, I’ve got an idea… (показывает на декорации) This is the house that Jack built.
Под музыку ‘Moon River’ выходит пшеница.
Malt: This is the malt

Под музыку ‘I Will Survive’ выходит синичка.
Rat: This is the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
Под музыку ‘The Pink Panther’ выходит кот.
Cat: This is the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
Под рэп выходит собака.
Dog: This is the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
Под музыку к песне “33 коровы” выходит молочница.
Молочница: This is the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.
Под песню Pussycat Dolls ‘Sway’ выходит the maiden.
Maiden: This is the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,

Под музыку к песне ‘Tum Balalaika’ выходит бродяжка.
Бродяжка: This is the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,

That ate the malt

Под музыку Баха ’Toccata Adajo’ выходит the priest.
Priest: This is the priest all shaven and shorn,
That married the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,

That lay in the house that Jack built.
Под финскую польку выбегает петушок.
Cock: This is the cock that crowed in the morn,
