Travelling Can Be Different

Many forms of travel exist nowadays. And we always choose the most convenient means for us. For example, if you are going to travel long distances (like to another country) you will definitely choose to travel by plane, or if you are about to travel short distances you will certainly choose your car or public transport.

The type of means of transport have changed a lot compared with earlier times. The level has certainly improved, but still transport has its advantages and disadvantages. Speaking about travelling by air, we can name lots of advantages, especially the advantages of air charter services that provide flexibility, efficiency and privacy to ensure you a pleasant trip. It is obvious that along with the advantages, air travel has some disadvantages. The most important of them are environmental impacts. The fact is, that aircraft engines emit noise, pollution, gases, particular emissions, and contribute to global warming and global dimming. Modern turbojet and turboprop engines are considerably more fuel-efficient and less polluting than earlier models. However, despite this, the recent rapid growth of air travel contributes to an increase in total pollution attributable to aviation, offsetting some reductions achieved by automobiles.

Other disadvantages of air travel are: stress (late planes, long lines, lots of security, rules, etc.); you can’t choose who you travel with – your neighbour could be a crying baby or a sick person; cost (much more expensive than driving in most cases). But, in my opinion, in spite of all these disadvantages, air travel is the best form of travelling long distances.

As for me, this summer I travelled to Italy. We booked tickets several months before the departure date. When we were in Italy we combined different ways of travelling, namely: air travel, car rental, buses and so on. On June 23 we arrived at the airport in Naples. There we took a car, which we had rented when we were in Moscow, and drove to Bari. After 3 days spent there, we came to Rimini on a train called “Euro Star”, it took us about 5 hours to get there. And we had a great time in Italy.

I must confess that I like to travel, especially to other countries. But we all should always be on the alert, because travelling is not that safe nowadays.
