Not everyone likes winter heat

“ЖАRА” is considered the sensation of 2006. It is a light comedy and you need a relaxed mood to see it. “ЖАRА” is often compared to films “Progulka” and “Piter FM”, but as for me, both of them are much more interesting than Rezo Gigineishvili’s production. In contrast to “ЖАRА” they make a good impression on the audience, I was interested in them and decided to see them once more. Concerning “ЖАRА”, I think that the plot of the film was very poor, the idea is not developed up to the end, and the ending of the film is not really clear. “ЖАRА” doesn’t have an interesting story. It is just like a part of 4 friend’s life, and remains an incomplete story.

Sometimes the plot of the film was really illogical. To me, I shall admit, it seems quite strange that one must some stations in the underground to find an exchange office in Moscow. And leaving a restaurant, which is in the city centre, the hero finds himself on the Sparrow Hills. Then the photographer girl is able to appear in several places where, by some magical means, appear the four friends. It seems that the plot of this film has not been fulfilled up to the end.

The other disappointment is the acting of the cast. The three lead actors – Arthur Smoljaninov, Konstantin Krukov and Alexey Chadov – who had already proved themselves in the successful movie of Sergey Bondarchuk “9 rota”, are the best attraction for viewers. But even the sparkling talent of Alexey Chadov didn’t manage to save the film. His character could be acted much better, I think. There was not enough movement; during the whole film I couldn’t see any action in playing his part, so it seemed to me very boring.

Krukov’s acting wasn’t memorable. I can’t say that he was too poor, but there was nothing special. To my mind every actor’s image must have its own “salt”. But, despite the fact that Konstantin Krukov’s character is one of the most important in the film, I couldn’t remember it; he didn’t impress me.

The only thing I really liked was Arthur Smoljaninov’s excellent acting skills. He has truly played the role of the actor, and portrays his character with positive force and cheerfulness.

As for the other actors of the film, I don’t think that it was the best acting I’ve ever seen. Maybe their acting is the main cause of my disappointment in this movie. To my mind, Timati, Agniya Ditkovskite and Anastasiya Kotchetkova are not the best actors. As for Ditkovskite, I think that she’s too inexperienced. Her acting is not really confident and her image, which could be more positive and bright, is too invariable all the time. Sometimes it is hard to understand if she is happy or sad. Her acting is too mincing to like it. As for Timati and Kotchetkova’s acting, I think that it was the biggest mistake of the director to cast them fore their parts. They could be nice singers (of course it depends on fan’s taste), but they are really unsuccessful players. They have no experience, and no talent to play those parts. I think that there must have been other people, real. Kotchetkova and Timati are just not enough to create a boom, ballyhoo and discussions around this film.

A flourish of trumpets roused my interest in this picture. What can I say, except for the PR-company was great. They persuaded people to see this film. But I must protest the phrase “everyone likes winter heat”.
